Mark McGraw Jr. Scholarship

The family of Mark McGraw Jr. has established a scholarship to be known as the Mark McGraw Jr. Memorial Scholarship that is now available for Hancock Central School students, through the Hancock Community Education Foundation. This fund will be for graduates of Hancock Central School, with preference to a student who has a love for baseball/softball and golf, or has been accepted into a forestry or conservation program. If the criteria cannot be met the scholarship will be awarded on need.

Mark graduated from HCS in 2004. He worked as a logger with his father Mark McGraw Sr. and sister, Cassandra McGraw. Mark was an extraordinarily gifted golfer, playing as much as he possibly could. Mark loved the outdoors and had a passion for hunting. Mark was a very kind hearted, selfless and caring person. He would be honored that this scholarship will help young people in the future.
